Betelgeuse is here! Isn't he pretty? Cody is thrilled and in my opinion is the newest inductee to the herpetology hall of fame. Every single day he handles every snake we have. He has the feeding schedule down to a science, and turns all lights on in the am and off in the pm. He has bought red lights for the room so we can see the snakes out and about at night.
BJ is doing extremely well and has already eaten and staked out his favorite places in his tank. He likes to hang out under the rock hide and in the water dish. He seems to like to swim so Cody sets up shallow bowls and lets him cruise for a few minutes at a time.
His body condition is spectacular. He's fat and feisty and his colors are gorgeous! It is hard to see in the photos but he has one yellow/cream stripe with a black spot in it and three stripes of cream in a row at his tail. 
Life is good otherwise. Busy and hectic but lots of good food and good company makes life seem darn near perfect. Hope everyone else is as happy as we are!
